Mountain View Fire and Rescue emergency personnel received a call concerning an 8-year-old boy who had cut himself while playing with an ax at about noon March 6 near 176th Avenue Southeast. The emergency workers found the boy had a 2-inch laceration and he was dizzy and nauseous. The boy was treated at the scene and then transported to an area hospital by his grandparents.

Can you imagine not having police 24-hour protection from our city police department. This is what we might be facing in the near future. The city of Black Diamond is asking its residents to renew its public safety levy to ensure the city has the resources to keep its residents safe via police and fire protection.
